A Trip to Weymouth Beach for Our Boarders
Our boarding trip to Weymouth Beach was a delightful adventure.
The day began at school with a full English breakfast, energising everyone for the fun ahead. We boarded the coach under sunny, blue skies and set off with excitement. Laughter and joy could be heard from all and the classic “are we there yet?” echoed through the aisles.
Upon our arrival at Weymouth, clouds rolled in, but that didn't dampen the children's spirits. They eagerly engaged in various activities, including ball games, sunbathing, building sandcastles, digging deep holes, and playing cricket. A few brave children even took a paddle in the chilly sea, shrieking with excitement and shock as the cold water nipped at their toes, quickly deciding that the sea might be better admired from the safety of the shore.
The sun made a welcome return just in time for a picnic lunch on the beach after which, the children were treated to refreshing ice creams. Without a doubt, the most popular flavours were salted caramel and double chocolate which were demolished in seconds. Once ice-creams were finished, the afternoon was filled with more games and laughter on the beach until it was time to head back to school.
Upon our return, the children enjoyed a snack, spent some quiet time writing letters to relatives and ended the day with a chapel session led by Rev Bev; the perfect close to a memorable and fun filled day.
