Boarder - Dorset Water Park Fun
Sunshine. Free time. Friends. Hazlegrove. What more could a child wish for? Maybe water. We provided this too.
Saturday saw a number of children take part in the HZG Tennis Open – while the others enjoyed free time and a plethora of activities on offer – ball games on the fields, cricket nets, dance, Blackford Café, and the pool was open. In the evening, we all enjoyed a delicious BBQ for supper, on the front lawn. Movies and a good sleep followed.
On Sunday, we awoke to stunning blue skies and warmth! After a Full English breakfast, we boarded a coach and filled three more mini-buses (we had 90 children stay in for the weekend) and we headed down to Dorset Water Park. Wow – what fun – refreshingly cool water, floats on the ponds, and hot weather. The children had a lovely time on the water and after an hour of fun, we enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine. The ride home was much quieter as a result…tired children.
When we got back to school, the children went off to letter writing and then headed to the Houses for popcorn and a movie. Roast supper followed and then the children had a spot of free time on the fields, in a cooler evening before rounding off the weekend. The children were fantastic company and we were certainly very lucky with the weather.
