The boarders made the best of a rainy weekend with lots of activities including a trip to the cinema
After a mighty full English breakfast, one cannot fail to look forward to the day ahead, full of energy and raring to go.
Mr Schreiber spoke from the heart in Chapel and inspired all with his eloquence and energy, wit and eye-opening storytelling. From Chapel it was off to Fitzjames for us to write to our loved ones. Thoughtful words and memories of the preceding week were the order of the day. It is very clear to see what an important part of the weekend this moment for reflection is, and letters will be winging their way to all quarters this week. Some short, some long but all from the heart.
With the weather not on our side for this weekend, the children had a fantastic surprise to come. Movie time!!! A trip to see Christopher Robin was just what the doctor ordered especially on this damp day, and following a bite of lunch, and pockets stuffed with treats, we made our way to the Yeovil Cinema. The family of four who booked their seats before us must have had quite a shock as nearly 70 of us filled the rest of the theatre and settled down to watch this fantastic film. After that, back to school for activities including some mean Go-Karting, Art with Mr Edwards and Miss James, activities in the sports hall ranging from Basketball to Kwik Cricket, a chill out picnic with music for some of the older children (the sun had now appeared!!), pom-pom making on the front lawn and a fun swim to round all this off.
A great day was had by all.
Mr Holden.
