Life is simple for the boarders... just add water, sun and fun
After a glorious day of sport on Saturday (our annual Sports’ Day) and a delicious meal in the evening, the boarders headed back to their Houses, tummies full, happy memories and a glowing skin! We slept very well indeed.
We woke on Sunday morning to see the sun shining once again. After breakfast, we headed down to the Dorset Water Park for an hour of pure unadulterated fun on two ponds with inflatable obstacles.
The children had a wonderful time running around and falling into the water – falling was sometimes the result of being pushed by friends, instructors and even teachers! We picnicked for lunch and finished off our time there, in the shadow of Corfe Castle, with delicious, locally made, ice cream.
Letter writing outside in the shade awaited us on return, followed by a free swim and session on the water slide. We clearly didn’t get our fill of water and sunshine at the water park! Before our roast supper, we headed into the theatre for Chapel. A special thank you to Mr Birch and Miss Rudd for providing the music for our three hymns.
After supper, the children enjoyed another hour of free time, fresh air and sunshine, before heading back inside; a super end to a fun-filled weekend. And we didn’t need computer games or phones…fancy that!
