The boarders enjoyed bowling and a trip to Ham Hill
Bright sun and clear blue skies greeted us on Sunday morning. A crisp chilly morning helped us all wake up with an extra spring in our step.
After a delicious full English breakfast, we headed off to Taunton Hollywood Bowl. We separated the children into teams of eight. The more adventurous of them decided not to put up the lane barriers and push themselves to the limit. Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble would have been proud of all our efforts. Many "oohs" and "ahs" could be heard from all the lanes as many of the children got spares and strikes. Marcus W eventually got the highest score with 126 and Ines Z got 99 with none of the barriers put up. Both are fantastic scores.
After satisfying our competitive fix we departed for Ham Hill for a bit of fun in the sun. It did not disappoint and the children enjoyed playing quick cricket, throwing frisbees, manhunt, climbing or just relaxing in the glorious sunshine. A great spot just on our doorstep with spectacular views and an ideal environment.
We returned to Hazlegrove exhausted but content. Mrs Hughes delivered a great chapel all about what it truly means to love one another.
Another action packed fun filled Sunday spent with a very special group of children who are growing up to be responsible young ambassadors to the rest of our community. What FUN!!!
