Inflatable fun for the boarders' last weekend of the year...
Inflatable madness, balloon wars, water slides and ice creams…..the last weekend of term did not disappoint. Yeovilton kindly synced their air show for us, Mrs Bartlett invited the lower school children for smoothies and the weather even allowed us to have a BBQ.
Lots of fun was had this weekend with an action packed programme of activities and things to do. With Wimbledon and the Euros thrown in the mix, there was hopefully something for everyone no matter their mood. After Chapel, the children were treated to some large inflatables – an assault course, bunking bronco, basketball hoops and chicken suits. Running alongside were a number of activities – felt puppets, video star, cycling, nerf wars, go-karts, two ball football, bonfire and damper bread, Aussie Rules, Funday Sunday Games and Radio Hazlegrove. Much fun was had by all and by midday, the sun was blazing leaving everyone in a terrific mood. On the catering side of things were fed like kings. A full English fry up for breakfast, followed by roast beef and all the trimmings for lunch, finished off with gnocchi and tiramisu for supper. Not surprisingly the lights went out fairly early and the dormitories were stone silent by 8.30pm!
