Boarders' trip to Bristol Science Museum
The morning of Sunday 13th March dawned bright and sunny for the boarders at Hazlegrove. After a delicious cooked breakfast in the dining hall we headed over to the theatre, where Mr Forbes led an entertaining and thought-provoking chapel service about putting on the armour of God.
We then boarded the coach and travelled to Bristol, for a visit to the @Bristol Science Museum. The children spent an action packed afternoon enjoying the sights and interacting with the exhibits, which included a fitness test, milling flour, animating a cartoon, blowing bubbles, looking at optical illusions, playing virtual volleyball... the list goes on.
The highlight for all was surely the amazing planetarium show, 'A tour of the Solar System' in stunning 3D! It was incredible to see the stars and planets hovering just in front of our faces, and we all came away having learned something about space and our place in the universe.
We then returned to school for letter writing and a play in the sunshine before the dinner bell rang and we were treated to a truly magnificent Sunday roast dinner. A fantastic end to a most enjoyable weekend for all!
