Super Splashdown for Our Boarders!
A hearty cooked breakfast set the boarders up well for their trip to Splashdown this weekend.
‘Black Thunder’, ‘Velocity’, and the ‘Dragon’s Lair’ were popular with the more daring of the children, whilst others opted for a slightly more tranquil glide down the ‘Mississippi Drifter.’ Lots of fun was had by all, and luckily the children were able to have a lot of goes on each slide too. Back at school, hot chocolate and popcorn were ready before the children snuggled into the Common Rooms for a film. Thank you to Mrs Hughes who then led Chapel, encouraging everyone to think about charity and the importance of ‘loving thy neighbour’. Some drama from Wilf, Acer, Alex, Manou and Jess helped to retell the parable of The Good Samaritan and Mrs Hughes led everyone in prayer and time for reflection. Our customary scrumptious roast dinner rounded the day off nicely.
