Year 3 Visit the Roman Villa at The Newt

Year 3 children had a very memorable morning at The Newt on Thursday.  Snow fell and we were amazed by the beautiful scenery as we drove up to the estate.

We were greeted by a Roman citizen who shared stories and facts about life in Roman Britain. Year 3 were very fortunate to explore the Roman Villa and look at the remains underneath the glass flooring. The morning was rounded off by opportunities to excavate clay pots, weave, make lavender and spice potpourri and mosaic tiles.
