Year 6 Have Been Busy in the Kitchen!
Our Year 6 pupils have recently made some rather yummy leek and potato soup from scratch as well as soda bread during their food technology classes with Mrs Spilsbury. Year 6 were able to learn about the importance of healthy eating while also developing their culinary skills. All of the pupils worked together to prepare the meal, which included chopping vegetables, mixing ingredients, and baking the bread. They were able to learn about the different stages of cooking and how to work together as a team.
After the meal was prepared, the pupils sat down together to enjoy their creation. They were able to taste the fruits of their labour and appreciate the hard work that went into making the meal. The children were also able to reflect on what they had learned during the class and how they could apply these skills in their daily lives.
