A Demonstration of Kindness: a Core Value at Hazlegrove
Celebration Assembly is a highlight of my week, it is a unique moment in the school week to recognise all of the wonderful things that the children have achieved.
This morning was made even more special having received the following lovely message last Sunday from Philip Hoyland, who retired as Headmaster of Pinewood School in 2020.
“Full Marks to Hazlegrove. My daughter, Checky, was at Durdle Door on Friday en famille. A group of children were on a Geography field trip and Checky was struggling with her baby when she saw her older daughter Rosetta stranded on the path. She called a boy over and asked for help. He rescued Rosetta (who’s now in love) and brought her to Checky. Very polite boy who, on inquiry, said he was at Hazlegrove. Checky was hugely impressed with his demeanour and manners. A tall boy called George. Show HM please. A splendid ambassador for Hazlegrove.”
