A Fantastic Weekend of Activities For Our Boarders

Another jam-packed Sunday started with our customary scrumptious fry up.

A big thank you to Mr Beverly for leading our chapel service giving everyone plenty to reflect upon, focusing on the importance of prayer. The Seniors then spent the morning on site catching up with their letter writing, taking a dip in the pool, and relaxing with an array of card and board games, whilst the more daring took on the challenge of the go-carts – yes, the overnight rain did leave the mud trails you might have anticipated!

The Juniors headed over to Street for a visit to the newly opened ice rink at Clarks Village; for a few of our boarders, this was their first time on ice. Tessa led the way, storming round the rink at top speed! There were many dramatic falls and slips, but the children were quickly back on their feet again, full of determination. By the end of the session, everyone had let go of the side and there were smiles all round! Back at school, we were all treated to a delicious roast beef dinner with quite the range of colourful vegetables. The afternoon saw the Senior’s turn to board the minibuses, this time heading to Yeovil to watch the latest release of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,  Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. A mixed bag of reviews from the pupils were shared over supper upon their return.

Meanwhile, the Juniors had their chance for letter writing, a dip in the pool and some very creative Pudsey Bear biscuit baking – Alexander McQueen would be impressed with the innovative interpretations of Pudsey’s iconic spotty eye bandage! The children headed off to bed, yet again with that warm satisfying feeling that a Sunday with just the right balance of relaxing, adventure, fine food and pleasant company brings.
