Boarders Had a Fun-filled Weekend Full Of Activities
Autumn certainly came to Hazlegrove this Sunday. With a slight chill in the air, but with the sun shining, the boarders started their day with a full English breakfast. In the chapel, Mr Froggatt spoke to us about kindness and challenged us to some random acts of kindness throughout the rest of the term, into the half term holiday. Letter writing followed and then the children enjoyed activities such as swimming, Autumn art, going to the farm and a conker battle. We were then treated to a full roast, where we got to spend time with friends, talking about what we had all done.
Once lunch was finished, we all got into minibuses and headed to Hollywood Bowl in Yeovil. Competitive games were played! Seven lanes of bowling were taken up with Hazlegrove children bowling with precision. Then they headed to the arcade! Finlay even managed to win the top prize in the strongest man competition, winning 1000 tickets!
When we arrived back, there was no time for a movie, so instead the children enjoyed the last of the sunshine by playing a huge game of touch rugby. It was a wonderful way to spend the last weekend of this half-term.
