Year 8 Have an Exciting History Lesson
In Year 8 History we are always looking for engaging ways to learn new things and despite being at the sharp end of Common Entrance practise, who doesn't love a board game with friends?!
In this lesson we were exploring why Queen Victoria has the nickname 'the Grandmother of Europe' and we used a boardgame with multiple choice chance cards to find out. Some of the class were playing against peers at home who are isolating, while others were joined by friends in the classroom. In the History department we firmly believe that the best learning happens when you're having so much fun you don't realise you're doing it!
