Gardening club sow the seeds for a new wildflower garden
Gardening Club was privileged, yesterday, to have a visit from Nick Mann of Habitat Aid.
Nick told us how to prepare the ground and explained how to sow the seeds. He helped us to take the top layer off an area of land at the back of school, ready for it to be seeded with wildflower seed mix. In time, we hope it will become home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, particularly bees! Nick explained the importance of pollinators to us, following up on a workshop at our EarthWyz Festival back in March.
We’re very much looking forward to seeing how the area changes over the next few months!
