Our EAL Pupils Teach Year 2 Spanish
This week the EAL pupils have been devising games to play and share with the Year 2 pupils.
The EAL children had to teach their games in English but at the same time introduce a few words of Spanish to each group. The interaction between the pupils was fantastic and the classroom was filled with lots of action, chatter, smiles and laughter! I was really impressed with the children who adapted their lessons to either make them easier to understand or more challenging, all dependent on their group. The session culminated in a class game of ‘first to the flag’ which everyone enjoyed. Thank you to Year 2 for allowing the EAL pupils to share their games with you and we hope you have learnt new words in a new language!
