An Olympic Assembly

Olympic Day 

At Hazlegrove, we have a real fondness and connection with the Olympics. The Olympic ethos and motto can teach us so much. With two past pupils having won gold medals in previous Olympics and Sophie Hamilton being named in the Paris 2024 GB Hockey team, we have so much to celebrate. We held an Olympic quiz in assembly and highlighted why the Olympics is such an important movement- looking at how it started and why it is still the greatest sporting event in the world. Everyone is now counting down the days to the opening ceremony!

Did you know that all of the medals given out in Paris will contain metal taken from the Eiffel Tower?
