Rector James from St John's Church Yeovil Visits our Year 4 Pupils
James Dudley-Smith came to talk to us all about his role at St John’s Church, Yeovil and the local community.
James shared so many wonderful facts with us throughout his talk. One of the most amazing facts was that the church is over 650 years old and has 14 bells! It was interesting to learn that the best part of his job is that he gets to meet lots of interesting people and help them to understand the Bible. The highlight of his visit was seeing the formal robes. Children got to see and learn the names of each special piece of clothing including a cassock, surplice and scarf.
We are very grateful to James for taking time out of his busy day to visit us, share an insight into his daily life and answer all our questions.
