Summer Term Science for Middle School

This term, our Middle School has some truly exciting opportunities in science. We are fortunate to be situated on such a beautiful and diverse site, which allows us to maximize outdoor, hands-on learning as we delve into ecology topics.

As pupils explore Hazlegrove, they will learn how to classify living things into groups and observe a vast array of habitats. Additionally, they will delve into the past, discovering how fossils provide evidence for Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. Hopefully, they’ll find numerous examples of incredible adaptations in plants and animals throughout the grounds. Year 5 pupils will also investigate the importance of plants and how photosynthesis underpins all life on Earth.
