Solar Field Design by Year 7 Maths Sets

As part of Eco Fest, Mr Froggatt and Mr Benbow’s Year 7 maths sets have been set the challenge of designing a solar field on Hazlegrove’s estate.

 with the aim of removing all electricity costs and helping make the school carbon neutral. Dimensions, locations and costs have been hotly debated, and both classes surveyed the preferred site yesterday as part of their project. We look forward to seeing their presentations next week!
