Year 4 Enjoyed Their Trip Somerset Rural Life Museum
Year 4 had a wonderful day out at the Somerset Rural Life Museum in Glastonbury.
We enjoyed stepping back in time to the Victorian era and exploring what life would have been like living in rural Somerset. The children enjoyed making their own drop scones following the traditional methods. They tasted delicious! We also learnt all about how resourceful the Victorians were and tried our hand at rag rug making. It was more difficult than it looked! The children put on their detective hats and explored the museum. It was wonderful to look at all the artefacts on display. We recognised lots of the objects and it was amazing to see how they used a lot of similar items to us today. A brilliant and informative day was had by all. A big thank you to Sandy, from the Rural Life Museum for all her hard work and making the day possible!
