Year 7 Enjoyed Their Trip To Wintershall
The Year 7 children travelled to Surrey on Thursday morning, to Wintershall, to watch the spectacular Life of Jesus performed in the stunning gardens and surroundings.
We left at the crack of dawn, armed with our breakfasts and lunches. The children, true to long-journey customs, had eaten just about all of their breakfast before we had even crossed the cattle grid!
The annual journey to Wintershall, besides being a fantastic opportunity to watch a rendition of the life of Jesus, acted out with live animals, a real baby Jesus, and realistic settings, cements what the Year 7s cover in their Religious Studies syllabus. The play brings the Gospels to life in a way that feels real and altogether more accessible for the children.
The children (and staff) were superb company and were all a credit to the school. It was a truly inspiring day and one that was enjoyed by all.
