Oh We Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside!
The final Sunday before half term started with the usual hearty full English breakfast cooked by our wonderful catering team.
After breakfast, we packed our bags ready for a fun day at the beach! With the coach loaded full of food and equipment we headed off down to Weymouth. Everybody was so excited to see the sea but shocked by the morning fog lingering over the shore… there was not a cliff in sight! The cloudy weather did not dampen any spirits. After a safety briefing by Mr Forbes, the boarders couldn’t wait to have a dip in the sea! All the epic hole digging, sandcastle building, cricket and swimming worked up our appetites. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on the beach - luckily, no sand sandwiches! Amazingly, the fog cleared and we were treated to beautiful views out to sea. A highlight of the day was the delicious ice cream and flake we each had after lunch! Yum! After a post lunch swim and relax on the beach, we brushed off all the sand headed back to school for chapel and supper.
A great day was had by all! Thank you to Mr & Mrs Forbes for organising and the staff who accompanied the trip!
