Fun Weekend For Boarders

Boarding Prep

With the sun shining, getting up for breakfast wasn’t hard for anyone! A splendid full English welcomed the boarders to breakfast and was enjoyed by all. Mr Shaw then came and took Chapel, he spoke about Nick Vujicic, an Australian Christian, who was born without arms or legs.

The message was powerful, if the miracle we want to happen isn’t happening, know that you are a miracle for someone else, God is with us and he will work through us. We then all wrote our letters to family members, writing about what we had done the past week, matches we had been in, campouts which we had enjoyed and films we had watched.

The excitement of the day then started. The pool was opened and fun was had by all the children, it is an amazing facility to be able to have at our fingertips. There was also a tennis tournament, the woods were open and different craft activities happened too, all in the sun! A rare event!

After such exciting activities, a full lamb roast, followed by lemon meringue pie, was gobbled down by the children and staff! peace and quiet.

In the afternoon, the famous slip and slide water slide made its first appearance of the term. An hour and a half of sliding through water was enjoyed by most. If this didn’t appeal, boules, tennis and cricket were up for grabs too. Later a snack was needed followed by a movie. The day finished with supper and then some free time outside.

Weekends staying in at school are always amazing, this time we were also blessed by stunning sunshine. This was a weekend enjoyed by all.
