Years 4 And 6 Experienced The Sounds And Sights Of India
On Tuesday, Years 4 and 6 experienced the sounds and sights of India as they took part in our Hinduism workshop.
Our visiting speaker, Indri, told them stories and introduced them to some of the key concepts of Hinduism as well as giving them the opportunity to dress up, use traditional face paints and dance!
We asked Year 4 what they had particularly enjoyed, and here are a few of their answers:
“Making patterns on our faces was so much fun and it made me feel really happy because I liked seeing the way it turned out.” Isla.
“I loved doing the meditation and feeling really calm and relaxed.” Archie T
“Wearing the colourful saris was lovely. They had such beautiful colours and patterns on them. I felt very special wearing it.” Seraphina
“I learnt that Hindus believe in lots of gods and that one of the gods lifted up a mountain.” Kwesi
