My Son Pinocchio Jr A Musical Extravaganza Presented By The Pupils Of Year 6

A huge congratulations to Year 6. After 10 weeks of intense play rehearsals the pupils pulled off a truly spectacular show.  They have been the most dynamic and enthusiastic group of young performers and I am incredibly proud of them all.

There are times that I forget we are in the middle of Somerset and often feel like we are part of a West End worthy theatre group. Every single pupil really wants to be on stage, singing, acting and dancing in front of a packed-out auditorium. We should also not forget that this is after two years of lockdown, when most of us feel a little more apprehensive about life and putting ourselves out there, but not Year 6!

And that is why, we believe at Hazlegrove, it is so important that every child is in a production every year. The life skills that they explore are unprecedented. Teamwork, empathy, tenacity and creativity are just a few qualities they explore from a very long list. For almost 12 years I have been blessed with the company of these wonderful children. The days whizz by because they are full of love, excitement, bravery and growth. I am incredibly lucky and honoured to have experienced so many magical moments when the children have been empowered by their endeavours in the theatre.
