Boarders Have Fun At Splashdown This Weekend
Splashdown…need I say anymore? After a delicious breakfast, the children boarded the coach, armed with their swimmers and towels.
The children (and the staff and Gaps) had a great time – we had forgotten just how fun an outing like this could be! The children were fantastic company, and the day was a roaring success. The children who were unable to take part in the activities, strolled across to Cineworld to watch Unchartered. After this, we huddled together in the Poole sunshine and enjoyed our packed lunches. The bus trip back was a little quieter…snoring could be heard.
Upon returning to HZG, letter writing followed a welcome cup of hot chocolate and a snack. Before supper, the usual evening activities (Sports hall, bastion, Just Dance, the Boarders’ Common Room) were on the cards but…once we stepped out of the Fitzjames and saw the glorious evening that awaited us, the most fitting activity to do was obviously a walk in the countryside. So, we donned our coats and walking shoes, and headed off into the sunset. Another most enjoyable weekend. Now for Week 9.
