We Are Very Excited To Have Two Budding TV Stars In Our Midst!

Will R and Elise R are starring in an episode of series six of the popular programme The Farmers’ Country Showdown which goes out on BBC1 Monday 17 January at  3.45pm. The series is narrated by Denis Lawson and celebrates farming families and the rural events where they showcase their hard work as they try to win top prizes.

During their episode, Will can be seen preparing and showing his flock of Coloured Ryeland sheep and Silkie chickens at the Mid Somerset Show at Shepton Mallet whilst Elise demonstrates her sheep-handling skills when she takes her Black Welsh Mountain lamb Delilah to enter the Young Handler class. The children were filmed preparing the animals for a day at their smallholding before being followed during the course of the agricultural show itself.

Will enjoyed explaining how he looks after all his animals and they both loved competing in the sheep fancy dress competition; he now aspires to becoming the next Matt Baker so watch this space! Some of you will recognise the Pygmy goats who recently visited the School too.
