Year 6 Get Creative With Hyphens

We love being able to adapt to the children's interests and in Year 6 English lessons this week, a starter activity on hyphen use turned into a whole lesson!
The children were set the challenge of re-naming common classroom objects (and even their teacher!) with compound words divided by a hyphen. Much hilarity ensued and we liked our new names of things so much we are still firing up our information-holders (brains) and turning our item-sighters (eyes) to the board in our lessons!
