Welcome to the Hazle-Games!

Friendship and teamwork was the theme of this weekend.

The Boarders were up and at it having donned their best gaming themed gear for the action-packed day ahead. After a hearty full English breakfast, letter writing and chapel…. The games began! 

The hotly anticipated Mario Kart tournament got underway with some great manoeuvring and skill on show. Unfortunately, the slippery banana skin was the undoing for a few! 

Meanwhile, in the theatre there were some serious Strictly Come Dancing worthy moves on display in the Just Dance off! All adding points to their team totals. The artistic among the teams got a chance to show off their talents in the art room giving yet more chances to earn precious points.

Outside in the grounds was where the real-life gaming action was taking place. The teams rotated around football, laser tag and go karting. A FIFA themed mini football competition meant points were given for elaborate goal celebrations, skills and teamwork (as well as GOALLLS!)

Children leopard crawling across the front lawn could only mean one thing… laser tag: Blackford Ops. The hedges provided perfect cover for daring runs. Finally on offer was the real-life Mario Kart timetrials on the go kart track. 

The points were tallied up and a Junior and Senior team were crowned champions of the Hazle-Games! Congratulations to Hector and Ted on their Mario Kart tournament victories too.

After all that excitement, we enjoyed a much-needed chill out with a movie, hot chocolate and popcorn.
