Year 4 Vicar Visit

Year 4 enjoyed a visit from James the vicar from St John’s church in Yeovil this morning.

He came to help support the children’s understanding of Christianity and specifically the role of a vicar. James shared lots of stories with the children and told them all about a day in the life of a vicar. He brought his cassock, surplice and stoles and explained their importance. The children were able to explore the church’s website as well as have a look at his IPAD bible and even have sneaky peak in his special sermon diary. James talked about some of the very special times that he spends with local families and how he supports the wider community. There were lots of opportunities for some very thought-provoking questions, from both children in the room and those participating in the session remotely. Thank you James for spending time such a wonderful time with is all this morning.
