Hazlegrove Parent Cycling Across Nepal for Charity
Whilst January is a month where we all often think about getting fitter after the excesses of the festive season, one Hazlegrove parent has taken New Year endurance to extremes!
Mr Rob Abernethy is currently cycling, unsupported, approximately 2,200km across Nepal to raise money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust and, in particular, an individual school in the far West of Nepal. The Schools Programme builds and repairs schools in remote regions of Nepal to improve access to education and in turn offer a better future to Nepali children. Mr Abernethy is posting regularly on Instagram and his route can also be tracked on his CycleNepal web page. He is aiming to raise £100,000 and has raised an enormous £94,040 so far.
