Riding Team Are Show Jumping National Champions

The National Schools Show Jumping Finals which the Hazlegrove Riding Team qualified for back in the Spring term have been taking place in Addington, Buckinghamshire.

The team left home at 6.30am yesterday morning to make the four hour journey to the venue.

Mrs Cobb continues,

"We jumped in the outside ring along with 45 school teams. The top 8 teams qualified for the finals in the inside ring and the jump off.

We won the outside ring class qualifying to jump last this evening in the finals. The pressure was on. The course was causing lots of trouble but our four riders jumped brilliantly and really rose to the occasion in front of a huge crowd - we won. National Champions with all four jumping clear in really quick times. Amazing. It was all very emotional (with lots of tears)  and an unbelievable achievement."

Hazlegrove is so proud of Skye F, Anna I and Emily W who are in Year 8 and Old Hazlegrovian Josh C on their phenomenal achievement and wish them luck today as they compete in another class and then also the Nations Cup where they are representing England.
