Bowling and Conker Wars Entertain our Boarders This Weekend

This weekend saw the Senior Boarders heading off out of school for some ten-pin bowling at Yeovil’s finest bowling arena. They came back to school full of stories about missed spares, half strikes and some elicit use of barriers by Mr Holden.

Meanwhile, the Junior Boarders spent the morning exploring the local autumnal surroundings to collect enough conkers for a conker championships and a prize-laden contest for strangest conker, smallest conker and flattest conker! Congratulations to Arthur M who was our overall conker champ, closely followed by Geneva N. After some letter writing and chapel, featuring a marshmallow game, it was time for a chill-out in the theatre where everyone came together to watch a film.

We were lucky enough to have some glorious sunshine on the Sunday which gave us an opportunity for a mixture of events and downtime to give everyone a good start for the upcoming week.
