Year 7 have an Amazing Week at the River Dart

The Year 7s have recently returned from their annual week away at the River Dart Country Park on the edge of Dartmoor, where they enjoyed a host of challenging and exciting activities which included, amongst others: high ropes, rock-climbing, abseiling, zip wire, crate stacking, raft building, canoeing, kayaking and caving.

This week away is a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience huge personal challenge, not just from the activities but also in having to manage their clothing! Nothing stays dry or clean at the River Dart!

The week away is also a wonderful opportunity to forge new friendships and strengthen the bonds of old ones as they share new experiences and learn to support, encourage and rely on each other in ways that they have probably never had to before.
