Fantastic French Fun for our children this week!

It was a real treat to welcome Onatti Productions to Hazlegrove this week. Onatti Productions perform plays in French and English to children aged 7-12.

The children enjoyed the very humorous play, ‘Le Château’ which is set in 1540; a young English knight is sent to France by King Henry VIII to find a suitable lady for the king to marry.  After locating a potential match, he must paint her portrait and return to England, however, he only knows a little French, he can't paint and the lady has a very protective and slightly crazy maid!

Head of Languages, Claire Richards said, ‘‘Le Château’ c’était formidable!  We had a wonderful afternoon being entertained by the French theatre company, Onatti. What a great opportunity to experience the language in a fun and engaging way. The children were thrilled with how easy the story was to understand and will have fun re-enacting the story next week. The play is specifically designed for beginners of French, so they can understand the story, relax, laugh and be amazed at how much they understand.’
