The Hazlegrove Skipathon for Cancer Research UK
Our challenge to achieve 1 million skips by the end of November got off to a flying start in Monday’s morning assembly with some brave volunteers of children and staff demonstrating their skipping skills to the school.
Miss Rudd showed us all how to ‘jump in’ on a larger rope and the children have been having fun seeing how many they can get skipping on one rope at once. There has been a sea of solo and team skipping in all areas of the school at break times, and some fierce competition for who can complete the most skips. There are some secret skippers emerging in the ranks – and we are making good headway towards our 1 million goal. Please do help us to use this opportunity to raise money for Cancer Research, a charity that funds scientists, doctors and nurses working towards prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, by donating to our Just Giving page through this link Hazlegrove Prep School (cancerresearchuk.org)
