Year 6 visit the Fleet Air Arm Museum
Year 6 had a fascinating day at the Fleet Air Arm Museum at nearby RNAS Yeovilton.
They toured the displays in pairs to answer questions about the different aircraft, their history, and technology. They also had the option to sketch their favourite aircraft. The children found out about Concorde - an aircraft that moves twice the speed of sound and the eldest aircraft made by the Shorts Brothers. They also discovered that Neil Armstrong flew the H118 test plane among many other facts. A ‘flying’ visit today but a super trip had by all.
