A Year 5 Production With Talking Trees, Golden Geese and All Seven Dwarfs

This Summer term, the Year 5 pupils put on an amazing production of The Brothers Grimm tales.

We had an action-packed performance with four amazing casts! The tales were filled with laughs and plenty of drama. It was a roller-coaster of delight! We had Hansel and Gretel’s adventures, Snow White’s new friends, Rapunzel’s extravagance and the Golden Goose’s powers. There were some mighty laughs and some great acting by all pupils involved.

Talking trees, golden geese, all seven dwarfs, the narrators dressed as animals, both Hansel, and Gretel and the many witches involved, all gave their all and every line was said with such purpose and determination. This was a production to remember, and I really hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.

This was my first production here at Hazlegrove, since my start in April and I have been so lucky to work with the creative team in the forms of tutors, heads of department, Year 8 Drama monitors and the sound and lighting team.

These children worked so hard, and I am so proud of all of them. We tried our hardest on the night and it was phenomenal, and it made me excited to carry on creating memories for the children and their parents.
