Year 3 And 4 Had A Wonderful Flexi Boarding Taster Night
On Wednesday evening we welcomed 30 Year 3 and 4 boys and girls into our boarding community for a flexi taster night.
There was so much excitement and anticipation that I heard the children singing a song about flexi boarding during the day in the Lower School playground. The evening did not disappoint!
At supper the excitement was palpable at the thought of spending an evening playing with friends and then having hot chocolate. For many of the children, it was their first time spending an evening away from home but this did not dampen their spirits. They were all so brave and threw themselves head first into all the activities that were on offer. These ranged from a campfire in the woods, survival games in the pool to collage-making in the art room. What was so impressive to see was how they seamlessly slotted in with the rest of the boarders and had great fun doing so.
After keeping them very busy it was time to go into the Houses where they enjoyed quizzes and hot chocolate rounded off with a bedtime story. It was amazing to see how brave and well-behaved they were. It was a pleasure to have them join the boarding community for an evening and providing them with a home-from-home experience.
We hope to see lots of you in the future trying out flexi boarding again!
