Year 4 Enjoyed Learning About Our Local Church and Community.
Year 4 welcomed James Dudley-Smith from St John’s Church in Yeovil on Tuesday morning. James came to talk to us all about his role within the church and the local community.
James shared so many amazing facts with us throughout his talk. One of the most amazing facts was that the church is over 650 years old and has 14 bells! It was interesting to learn that the best part of his job is that he gets to meet lots of interesting people and help them to understand the Bible. The highlight of his visit was seeing the formal robes. Children got to see and learn the names of each special piece of clothing including a cassock, surplice and scarf.
We are very grateful to James for taking time out of his busy day to visit us, share an insight into his daily life and answer all our questions.
