Boarders Enjoyed Queen Platinum Jubilee Themed Supper and Quiz

What a transformation – walking into the Dining hall, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, felt liked walking down The Mall, when adorned with British flags and all the pomp and ceremony that one would expect when honouring our Queen.

The flags were fluttering in the gentle breeze, and the National Anthem played out on the piano, (thanks to our resident pianist, Hector), as the children made their way to their stunningly decorated supper tables. And what a feast awaited us!

We dined like kings and queens last night! Halfway through our meal, we toasted the Queen and her incredible reign and then sang the National Anthem, making the rafters ring! The children also enjoyed completing the Royal-Theme quiz on each table. The boarders thoroughly enjoyed the evening, which ended with some of them taking selfies with “the Queen” – we had a life-size cardboard cut-out of Her Majesty!

A special thank you, to our wonderful catering team for not only transforming our dining hall so beautifully, but for the scrumptious meal...and the pepper sauce was out of this world!
