Year 5 Make A Start On Their Lost Words Topic In Music

Year 5 started their magical Lost Words topic this week, inspired by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris’s book of the same name.

Following the lead of a recent Children’s Prom from the Royal Albert Hall, we are looking at how art and poetry, as well as the nature that surrounds us, have inspired a range of composers. The children will then create their own music to represent birds, animals and insects, using our wonderful range of classroom instruments.
