Boarders Had A Day of Fun At Weymouth Beach
The day started in usual fashion with a fabulous full English breakfast with sausages, bacon, black pudding, and hash browns which really set the tone for what was to be a lovely day.
The weather, having been a little wet this week, but came out with blue skies and bright sunshine ready for our trip to Weymouth beach.
We started the morning with a thought-provoking Chapel service from Reverent Beverly who always engages his audience. After this, we set off our journey to the beach. We arrived and set up camp. Within minutes the children were in the sea splashing and swimming. Others found time to dig holes on the beach or alternatively bury each other in the sand. After an hour of playing, we stopped for a packed lunch and an ice cream eating together on the beach.
After refuelling, it was time for round two and most the children went back into the sea, playing with frisbees, swimming, fetching tennis balls or trying to splash the teachers. Some decided to spend their time relaxing with a book and enjoying the sunshine. It was soon time to return home and after a chocolate bar we started our voyage back to school.
Once we returned, we enjoyed a hot chocolate and biscuits before writing home to our loved ones, something that all the children value. After an action filled day, it was time to watch a movie in the theatre eating popcorn. The day was finished with a spectacular roast dinner with all the trimmings. Another fun filled day at Hazlegrove, fun was definitely had by all.
