Year 3 Explore Montacute
Year 3 enjoyed a magical day learning about the Tudors.
The day started with an exciting visit to Montacute House where the children sat in the park land and enjoyed learning about Lord Phelips who built this beautiful holiday home to enjoy with his family and friends over 400 years ago.
The children imagined how they would feel if they were a guest travelling from London up the grand drive towards the beautiful house. Then the children sketched the magnificent building, making sure to capture all the gorgeous ham stone details.
We then returned to school for a busy afternoon filled with dancing, gargoyle sketching and creating clay Tudor roses. A very special day despite the weather!
