Pupils Get Creative With Sport At Home
The Sport Department have been keeping pupils busy throughout the Easter Holiday and through the start of Remote Learning with tasks and challenges.
We were so enthused to see pupils taking initiative to carry on playing sports at home, sometimes adapting the rules and equipment to make it home-friendly.
Miss Rudd's Back Garden Cricket Challenge is in full swing and requires pupils (and families) to film a clip of themselves having a cricket/tennis ball thrown to them, catching it / batting it / kicking it to how off your skills in the most creative, acrobatic and dramatic ways you can. Then you must throw the ball out of the shot. The idea is to send your video to Miss Rudd at [email protected] so she can add all the clips together to complete her hilarious and ingenious video. There is more information in the description of the below YouTube video...
Let us know what sport you are doing at home by tweeting us @HZG_Sports. Don't forget to include #HazlegroveFamily. Some of our favourite tweets of the last few weeks:

To keep active at home, the Cape family created their own Olympics with events such as welly throwing, keepie uppies with a tennis ball and racquet, a 10m sprint, an obstacle course and a long distance run around the house! What a great idea! #HazlegroveFamily pic.twitter.com/SPJFiV9rza

Why not start the day with a walk 'to' school? Imogen and Rhodri W have been doing just that with a walk around the block to get them up and out and ready for a day of #remotelearning. #HazlegroveFamily #ThursdayThoughts pic.twitter.com/YGulQtzyfa
