Hazlegrovians Qualify in Riding and Cross Country
Hazlegrove had a super weekend with children competing and qualifying in both riding and cross country.
At Bicton Arena last Sunday, we were competing in a Hickstead Qualifier - this was a very busy day with over 70 in some classes. Hazlegrove enjoyed a super day.
- Skye won the 80cm class
- Anna won the 90cm class
- Emily was 3rd in the 1m class
- Our HZG team was 2nd in the 1m class
All qualifying for the National finals in May.
Last Saturday, 29 Hazlegrove athletes competed in the Somerset County Cross Country Championships. The course was a true cross-country test and racing was very competitive in all age group. Everyone from across the county was trying to gain a top 10 finish and selection for the Somerset County Team.
We are delighted that Hazlegrove has four athletes selected this year with a further four selected as reserves.

It is also really encouraging to have five ex Hazlegrove athletes also in the team; it is great to see athletes continuing to pursue sports that they started here at Hazlegrove.
