The Lower School meet author Claire Barker

The Lower School were treated to a visit by Claire Barker, author of Picklewitch and Jack. 

They were soon under her spell, transported to a world of birdsong and other creatures, with a small witch thrown in. Claire told us about her work as a writer, including details of where she writes, what inspires her and how she researches a story. The children listened beautifully and were full of questions. They loved helping her write a spell and learning how to pop a balloon without a knife! 

What an inspiring morning for our budding writers.
