Pupils, families and friends enjoyed a spectacular Fireworks Night!

What an incredible evening everyone had at the Hazlegrove Fireworks last Friday night. We couldn't have asked for better weather, crisp, clear and almost still!

The parade of the guys, which makes its way across the sports field led by flaming torches, is always amazing to see, and the children work so hard on their creations before watching them go up in flames on the huge bonfire built by the fantastic Grounds Team.

Once the bonfire was roaring, everyone made their way to the twinkly lights of the tents to enjoy the rest of the evening before the much anticipated fireworks display! Within a few minutes the field was full of light up crazy hair, punk rockers and flashing spinners from the children's tent. Parents enjoyed glasses of mulled cider, delicious chilli, rolls full of roast pork and stuffing and the new hot doughnut and candy floss trailer was loved by all and sold out in an hour!

The band were a huge success and drew a good crowd of dancers and the coconut shy was very well looked after by the fabulous bunch of children from Year 8. Time flew by and before long the lights went out and the fireworks began!

Never failing to impress and surprise, the fireworks were incredible. Whizzing, whistling and ground shaking bangs, the sky was full of light, nothing short of spectacular!

It was such a fantastic evening, which wouldn't be possible without the support of Mr and Mrs White, the Bursar, Grounds Team, School Kitchen, the Friends Committee and the amazing bunch of parents who kindly give their time to help in the tents. Here's to  2019!
