An Evening of Music with King's School Bruton
The theatre was absolutely packed with family, friends and pupils for our Joint Choral Concert hosted here in the Hazlegrove theatre.
A beautiful summer’s evening with the doors thrown open created a wonderful atmosphere and we were treated to a celebration of singing across the King’s Bruton Foundation. The King’s Bruton choirs were very well versed in their choral pieces having performed very recently for Her Majesty the Queen during her visit to open the new music school at King’s Bruton.
Hazlegrove choirs were energetic, upbeat and gave really enthusiastic performances. We were lucky to have over one hundred children on stage on more than one occasion last night which filled the hall with gorgeous harmonies and vocal text!
My last of the Hazlegrove Joint Choral Concerts and I couldn't have been prouder of our Hazlegrove children singing their hearts out! We had such a breadth of repertoire from Herbert Howells to Pete Churchill, Mendelssohn to Stevie Wonder. We were proud to host this event and I know that Hazlegrove will look forward to the next one!
